So, here are we with yet another humble submission. First of all we would like to thank you all for your love, affection and support, because of which recently Delhi Public Library Board, Ministry of Culture, Government of India has conferred their prestigious award on Istifsaar. We sincerely thank the jury members as well.
“Yaad e RaftgaaN’ is dedicated to the memories of two Legendry poets Saqi Farooqui and Muhammad Alwi along with an article on Nida sb.
This issue is divided into 07 sub parts including, Idariya, Yaad-e-RaftgaN, Nazar-e-saani, Un suni NazmeN, Afsana aur maiN, Ghazal ki wadi se, and Istifsaar Aap ki Nazar MeiN.
As we always do, we have maintained the balance of all generations in this issue as well. Total 79 entries have found place in this issue pertaining to 40 different poets, writers and critics from different part of the world.
We are hopeful that like previous issues, this issue will also make inroad into the literary world and will be appreciated.

This issue is divided into 09 sub parts including, Idariya, Yaad-e-RaftgaN, Nazar-e-saani, Ghazal ki wadi se, Afsana aur maiN,Un suni NazmeN, Jahan-e-Deegar, Khidki meiN Khawab and Istifsaar Aap ki Nazar MeiN.

In Nazar-e-Saani we have tried to bring in the views on the different relevant aspects of the literature and also highlights the work and importance of the literary figures of our time and of past off course.
In Ghazal ki Wadi se and Un-Suni NazmeN , we have tried to include the work of noted poets but of different generations means age group.
In Afsana aur Main, we have included 4 stories, of different shades.

Jahan-e-Degaar, will not only takes you to the golden history but also gives an insight to the hard reality of our times.
As we always do, we have maintained the balance of all generations in this issue as well. Total 82 entries have found place in this issue pertaining to 51 different poets, writers and critics from different part of the world.

Istifsaar 8th & 9th Issue

The eighth and ninth issue of Istifsaar is available now. We thank your love and support.

As you all are aware that urdu fraternity has lost few of its gems in recent months Intizar Hussain , Nida Fazli , Zubair Rizvi and Abid Suhail . We have dedicated Yaad e Raftgan to the memories of these great contributors to the urdu literature . In which we have not only give some of their work but also articles on their work by other known names highlighting about their contribution in literature.
As we stated last time we have started publishing the letters of appreciation and views from different parts , we have continued with that , but as you all are aware that we can’t publish all of them so we have picked up the letters randomly and no specific thought have prevailed while selection of the same.
This issue is divided into 08 sub parts including, Idariya, Yaad-e-RaftgaN, Nazr-e-saani, Ghazal ki wadi se, Afsana aur maiN,Un suni NazmeN, Jahan-e-Deegar, and Istifsaar Aap ki Nazar MeiN.)
In Nazr-e-Saani all four articles which we have included, throw light on different aspects of literature. Prof. Abul Kalam qasmi put his articulated views on the contemporary literary trends , Prof. Ghazanfar highlights the magic of Qurratulain Hyder through her non-fiction writings. Basit Azar tries to deep dive into Abrar Ahmed’s poem and young Umer Farhat has made an attempt to understand Balraj Manra’s writing through his own perception.
In Ghazal ki Wadi se and Un-Suni NazmeN , we have tried to include the work of noted poets but of different generations means age group.
In Afsana aur Main , we have included 3 stories , presenting the different shades .
In this issue also we have tried to present a mix n match of seniors and promising new voices. In total there are 77 entries ( including 9 letters) of 45 different poets, writers, critics from India, Pakistan and Canada .
In fourth issue we have start presenting the translation of “RITU SANHAAR” one of the finest work of great Sanskrit poet and writer Kalidas. The translation is done by Mohammed Ahmad Sahar. In this issue we pleased to present its last part.
We are hopeful that like previous issues, this issue will also make inroad into the literary world and will be appreciated.

6th- 7th ISSUE OF ISTIFSAAR

The sixth and seventh issue of Istifsaar is available now. We thank your love and support.
We know you all are eagerly waiting for the issue, this time we have decided to club the two issues together and here we are …
This issue consist of 160 pages , though we will maintain 112 pages per issue from next one.
As we stated last time we have started publishing the letters of appreciation and views from different parts , we have continued with that , but as you all are aware that we can’t publish all of them so we have picked up the letters randomly and no specific thought have prevailed while selection of the same.
This issue is divided into 09 sub parts including, Idariya, Yaad-e-RaftgaN, Nazr-e-saani, Ghazal ki wadi se, Afsana aur maiN,Un suni NazmeN, Jahan-e-Deegar, Khidki MeiN Khawab and Istifsaar Aap ki Nazar MeiN (new addition last time.)
We have dedicated “ Yaad-e- RaftgaN” in the name of an important poet and critic Bashar Nawaz and one of most impressive writer of Urdu pros Abdullah Hussein . Both of them have departed recently and this is a small tribute to their contribution. This portion consists of a beautifully crafted article of Bashar Nawaz on his contemporary poets and a small selection of his poetry. Ghulam Ibne Sultan has contributed a detailed article on the contribution and personality of Abdullah Hussein .
In Nazr-e-Saani all four articles which we have included, throw light on different aspects of literature. One article , which includes some translations also , is a gift to urdu readers as it brings the flavor of oriya poetry in it , in an another article Rafiullah Mian , tries to understand beautiful and important story in new dimension , Ilyas Shauqi and Nadeem Ahmed tries to value Abdul Ahed Saaz and Firaq in their perspective and in light of established views as well.
In Ghazal ki Wadi se and Un-Suni NazmeN , we have tried to include the work of noted poets but of different generations means age group.
In Afsana aur Main , we have included 4 stories , presenting the different shades .
In this issue also we have tried to present a mix n match of seniors and promising new voices. In total there are 87 entries ( including 18 letters) of 45 different poets, writers, critics from India, Pakistan, USA , Canada and Saudi Arabia .
In fourth issue we have start presenting the translation of “RITU SANHAAR” one of the finest work of great Sanskrit poet and writer Kalidas. The translation is done by Mohammed Ahmad Sahar. In this issue we pleased to present its third and fourth part.
Alongside this we have also included translations of two beautiful poems of English literature one each of Robert Frost and Tomas Moore , translation done by Prof. Manzar Abbas Naqvi
We are hopeful that like previous issues, this issue will also make inroad into the literary world and will be appreciated.

We have dedicated “ Yaad-e- RaftgaN” in the name of legendry poet Meera Ji , in which we have not only give space to the views of noted critics Muhammad Hassan Askari and Waris Alwi on Meera Ji and his poetics. We have also shared Meera Ji’s view on one of poem of Faiz Ahmed Faiz alongside his view on his own poems with a short selection of work .

In Nazr-e-Saani all three articles which have included, throw light on different aspects , two of them are critical analysis of two worthy piece of literature.

In Un-suni NazmeN , we have tried to include the work of noted poets but of different generations means age group.

In this issue also we have tried to present a mix n match of seniors and promising new voices. In total there are 60 entries ( including 13 letters) of 39 different poets, writers, critics from India, Pakistan, USA , Canad .

In last issue we have started presenting the translation of the first part of “RITU SANHAAR” one of the finest work of great Sanskrit poet and writer Kalidas. The translation is done by Mohammed Ahmad Sahar. In this issue we pleased to present its second part.

Alongside the translations work in Jahan-e-Deegar , we have included a detailed article on the art of Bani Thani , written by Ahmed Sohail.

We are hopeful that like previous issues, this issue will also make inroad into the literary world and will be appreciated.

Istifsaar 4th Issue

4th ISSUE OF ISTIFSAAR

The fourth issue of Istifsaar is available now. We understand your wait, so many calls we received inquiring about the publication of fourth issue , even the vendors who support us to reach to those readers who purchase the magazine from different stands across nation, calls many time about the issue. It is now finally with you, delay is not because of any other reason but because that we were not happy with the printing quality of the issue come out of press and we have rejected it and ask our press to reprint the same, as we not only wants the quality of matter but also the quality of presentation as well.

You all are aware that we have increased the publication to the tune of 20% last time but again we fall short of the demand. So have not only increased the circulation but also the number of pages so that more matter can be presented. Now onward the magazine will be of 112 pages instead of 96 as in last three issues.

One more this we have added this time that we start sharing the letters which we received from all over world. Till date we have received hundreds and hundreds of letters from our readers but as you all are aware that all can’t get published so just share a tip of ice berg with you all and will continues to do so..

In this issue also we have tried to present a mix n match of seniors and promising new voices. In total there are 89 entries( including 13 letters) of 40 different poets, writers, critics from India, Pakistan, Austria, Switzerland England and USA.

In the current issue we are also presenting the translation of the first part of “RITU SANHAAR” one of the finest work of great Sanskrit poet and writer Kalidas. The translation is done by Mohammed Ahmad Sahar.

Istifsaar 3rd Issue

The third issue of Istifsaar is available now.
We know that the literary fraternity is eagerly waiting for the same. As we promised last time we have increased the number of copies by the tune 20% of the previous issue as we have faced the acute shortage of copies even in last edition which was 1.5 times of the first one.
This issue is divided into 10 sub parts including, Idariya, Yaad-e-RaftgaN, Nazr-e-saani, Ghazal kiwadi se, AfsanaaurmaiN, Dohekiduniya , Un suniNazmeN, Jahan-e-Deegar, KhidkiMeiNKhawab and Book Shelf, ( Dohekiduniya is the new addition this time.)
In the century year of birth , we have dedicated “Yaad-e- RaftgaN” in the name of legendry urdu poet MajeedAmjad, with a view to contact today’s reader with his work
In this issue also we have tried to present a mix n match of seniors and promising new voices. In total there are 47 entries of 26 different poets, writers, critics from India, Pakistan, Iran and USA.
In the current issue we are also presenting the translations of two prominent poets i.e. KedarNath Singh of Hindi and Vicente Aleixandre of Spanish. Kedarnath Singh, a prominent hindi poet of current era, who has recently got the prestigious Gyanpeeth Award and Vicente Aleixandre, one of the prominent figure of Generation-27 and recipient of Nobel Prize for Literature in 1977.
We are hopeful that like previous issues, this issue will also make inroad into the literary world and will be appreciated.

Istifsaar 2nd Issue

The second issue of Istifsaar was out in late April 2014. As we experienced the acute shortage of copies in the case of 1st issue , we have increased the publication by the tune of 1.5 times of the first issue but the result remains the same and again we are short of supply , still we are getting orders and request of the issue almost on daily basis. Many reviews which were published in other journals and papers also added to this demand, we thank you all for this and promise to increase the numbers in the next issue.

This issue was also divided into 8 sub parts including, Idariya, Yaad-e-Raftgan, Nazr-e-saani, Ghazal ki wadi se, Afsana aur main, Unsuni Nazmen, Jahan-e-Deegar, Khidki Mein Khawab like the first one except the 9th ( i.e. Book shelf)
In total 38 entries of 27 different poets, writers, critics from India, Pakistan, USA, Iran were found place in this issue.

On 9th January 2014, urdu world has lost its one of the most prominent critic Dr. Waris Alwi. We sincerely thanks Jnb. Ahmed Sohail for providing the self made sketch of Waris sb. (sketch used on cover note of second issue was an own sketch made by Waris Alwi), we also thankful to Jnb. Jayant Parmar for providing the hand made sketch and along with the ghazal written in the remembrance of Jnb. Balraj Komal , one of the pioneer of urdu nazm, who also demised recently.
